91´óÉñ senior  (Gladys, Va./Rustburg) has been named to the District V Academic All-District Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He is now eligible for CoSIDA's Academic All-America voting.

91´óÉñ scored first and never let go of the edge, beating Bridgewater 7-4 on Friday to earn their first-ever season sweep of their rivals. (Waynesboro, Va./Wilson Memorial) pitched 7.2 solid innings while helping his team to a 3-0 lead with a run and RBI.

Playing in their final home game, 91´óÉñ's senior class was determined to go out with a win. The seniors either scored or drove in each of the Royals' runs in a 9-5 win over Southern Virginia Monday in Harrisonburg. Eastern Mennonite won four of the five games in their final homestand of 2017. At 17-16 (4-10 ODAC), the Royals end the year with six straight road games, including Wednesday at No. 1 Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.

A third straight offensive outburst powered 91´óÉñ's baseball men to a 14-6 win over Hood College Wednesday afternoon in Harrisonburg. Eastern Mennonite (15-15) tied their season high with 21 hits, including seven doubles. Since breaking an eight-game skid with a 10-5 win over Bridgewater last Wednesday, the Royals have won five of six games, scoring nine or more runs in each win.

In a wild game, 91´óÉñ's baseball team plated four runs in the 10th inning to grab a 12-8 win at USA South power Ferrum College. The Royals needed a run in the ninth to force an extra frame, where they grabbed the momentum to improve to 13-15 on the year.

Once they got things clicking, 91´óÉñ's baseball men were in control in Wednesday's big 10-5 win over Bridgewater College. The Royals scored 10 of the final 11 runs in the game, picking up an impressive victory over their rivals while also snapping an eight-game losing streak.

A well-played second game, complete with a two-run ninth inning, gave 91´óÉñ a split in their ODAC baseball opener at Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday. The Royals move to 10-6 on the season, including 1-1 in the conference.
