Summer has brought a number of exciting changes to the 91´óÉñ Athletic Department, including a handful of new faces and even some light construction to open up new office space.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference named 14 91´óÉñ student-athletes to the 2016-17 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in their respective sports.

Despite averaging 2.75 goals per game over their season-ending four-game winning streak, 91´óÉñ's soccer men couldn't find the net in a 1-0 loss at Roanoke College Wednesday night in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament.

The Royals earned a 2-0 win at Emory & Henry Saturday afternoon, eliminating the Wasps from postseason contention while also jumping themselves over rival Bridgewater into sixth place in the ODAC. The men secured a bye out of the first round, and now advance directly into the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals. 91´óÉñ (9-7-4 / 4-3-2 ODAC) will play at No. 3 Roanoke College in Salem, Va., Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The semifinals and championship are next Saturday and Sunday at the highest remaining seed to advance out of the quarterfinals.

91´óÉñ's soccer men are hitting their stride at just the right time. Freshman (Alexandria, Va./Mount Vernon) scored the game-winner with just 6:03 left, as the Royals upset Randolph-Macon 3-2 in Ashland, Va., Saturday afternoon. Eastern Mennonite improves to 7-7-4 overall and 2-3-2 in the ODAC with their second straight win over a team ahead of them in the conference standings. The Yellow Jackets (9-3-2 / 5-2 ODAC) entered the day tied for first in the league
