The Royals split their second straight weekend homestand on Saturday, settling at 2-2 on the year. After a quick sweep of Lancaster Bible in the nightcap, Eastern Mennonite is now 2-0 against Division III competition this season.

The Runnin Royals continue to put up points. The issue has come on the defensive end, where injuries seem to have hurt the men the most. Such was the case on Saturday when 91´óÉñ put up 82 points, including a 15-for-37 showing from outside, but still got outscored in a 90-82 loss at Randolph.

The 344 in attendance in Yoder Arena Wednesday night experienced the full gamut of emotions, from joy to sadness, elation to frustration, and everywhere in between. And that was just in the final five seconds.

A bad stretch in the third period out-did a good start for 91´óÉñ's basketball women, as they dropped a frustrating 84-74 decision at rival Bridgewater College Tuesday night.

Giving up the first 10 points of the second period was too much for 91´óÉñ's women to overcome in a 74-67 loss at Emory & Henry Saturday afternoon. The Royals had a five-game winning streak broken with the decision, falling to 9-5 overall and 4-2 in the ODAC.

The Runnin Royals ended the game on a 33-12 run, picking up a 74-68 road win at Hampden-Sydney Saturday afternoon. 91´óÉñ's basketball men (8-7/2-4 ODAC) got a much-needed victory in the rigorous Old Dominion Athletic Conference, snapping a two-game skid.

For 30 minutes, Eastern Mennonite and Virginia Wesleyan went back and forth, locked in an intense battle packed with 17 lead changes and 10 ties. But midway through the second half, something changed.
