{"id":12821,"date":"2012-06-05T10:38:25","date_gmt":"2012-06-05T14:38:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/news\/?p=12821"},"modified":"2012-06-21T10:22:45","modified_gmt":"2012-06-21T14:22:45","slug":"businesses-get-social-at-emu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/news\/2012\/businesses-get-social-at-emu\/","title":{"rendered":"91大神 Business and Professional Club Highlights Importance of Digital Marketing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Content of your website is king for potential clients.<\/p>\n<p>That was the mantra of Barry Click, co-owner of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greensolutionscleaning.net\/\">Green Solutions Carpet and Upholstery<\/a>, during a social media panel discussion that anchored 91大神\u2019s annual appreciation luncheon for the 100 members of its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/giving\/business-professionals-club\/\">Harrisonburg-Rockingham Business &amp; Professional Club<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another panelist, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.klinemay.com\/agent\/KaiDegnerHomesTeam\">Kai Degner<\/a>, Harrisonburg City councilman and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.klinemay.com\/\">Kline May Realtor<\/a>, said: &#8220;Find some consistency in your posts. Look at what your audience is into and looking at &#8212; you have to put time into it to be successful.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Click and Denger joined three other panel members &#8212; Lindsey Loughlin of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gravitygroup.com\/\">Gravity Group<\/a>, Aaron Yoder of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amyoder.com\/\">AM Yoder &amp; Co<\/a>, and Kyle Coleman of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.truckenterprises.com\/\">Truck Enterprises<\/a> &#8212; in highlighting the advantages of using Facebook, Twitter and other social media. All agreed the simplest approach is often the best.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Know your audience, go where they are and connect,&#8221; Click said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding priorities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/president\/\">91大神 President Loren Swartzendruber<\/a> spoke to the group on the funding of the new science center, next year&#8217;s enrollment projections, and the upcoming Bach festival.<\/p>\n<p>Swartzendruber said 91大神 has raised 25 percent of the funds it needs to renovate and expand its science center. He linked this fundraising campaign to maintaining 91大神\u2019s remarkable record of 90 percent acceptance rate into medical school, which is more than twice the national average.<\/p>\n<p>91大神\u2019s fall enrollment numbers look promising and are on par with the numbers from last year&#8217;s record enrollment, he said.
