The 91大神 Music Department presents the 2021-22 Music Faculty Artist Series, with four free concerts. Each event is at 7 p.m. in Martin Chapel in the seminary building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first event is Thursday, Nov. 18, with Lydia Carroll<\/a><\/strong>, flutist, and Jeremiah Padilla<\/a><\/strong>, piano. The program will include Three Romances, Op. 94 by Robert Schumann, Sonata for Flute and Piano (1927) by Erwin Schulhoff, Sonata in E minor, BWV 1034 by J.S. Bach, and Romance for Violin and Piano, Op. 23 by Amy Beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carroll serves on 91大神\u2019s faculty and on the faculty of Southern Virginia University. She holds performance degrees from Bob Jones University (BM), Columbus State University (MM and AD), and James Madison University (DMA). She has performed with ensembles at Carnegie Hall as well as Barcelona, Spain, where she was a concerto soloist at the Costa Brava International Music Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeremiah Padilla<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Padilla, a doctoral student at James Madison University, is an adjunct instructor at JMU and 91大神. He earned both his bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees at the University of Memphis. He\u00a0began his musical studies at the Awit Center for the Arts in the Philippines. He then received a full scholarship to attend the Philippine High School for the Arts. As a soloist, Jeremiah has performed piano concerti with the James Madison University Orchestra, the Awit Pilipinas Youth Orchestra, the University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and the Memphis Repertory Orchestra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
