Endowments

Thanks to the generosity of many 91´óÉñ alumni and friends, over 300 endowed scholarships are impacting current undergraduate, graduate and seminary students.

Program endowments have been established in Teacher Education, Business and Leadership, Conflict Transformation, Theology, etc. Visionary 91´óÉñ philanthropists have established endowed chairs for the departments of Biology, Business and Leadership, Language and Literature, Teacher Education, and for Eastern Mennonite Seminary.

Immediate Impact Grants

Immediate Impact Grants are a powerful way for alumni and parents to help students access a first-rate 91´óÉñ education. By committing $5,000 (or more) annually over four years, donors can establish a new grant with the name of the donor’s choosing. Each year for four years, a deserving student will receive aid from your grant fund. For many students, these grants are opening the doors to an 91´óÉñ education!

We are deeply grateful to the more than 60 households that have funded Immediate Impact Grants ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 since 2019, totaling well over $1,000,000 in new aid to students. We are seeing a correlation between new Immediate Impact grants and increased first-year classes in 2025 and again in 2026!

If you wish to establish an Immediate Impact Grant, please contact a member of 91´óÉñ’s Advancement team at 800-368-3383 or email giving@emu.edu.
