91´óÉñ's basketball women used a balanced attack to roll over visiting Mary Baldwin University Friday afternoon in Harrisonburg, 87-33. Eastern Mennonite grabbed 31 offensive rebounds and never trailed in improving to 5-4.

The Runnin' Royals played D-I James Madison University to a 37-37 draw in the first half, and were still within 53-50 midway through the second, before the Dukes pulled away for an 82-65 final.

A 28-point fourth quarter helped host Hood College overcome a double-digit deficit, but they needed to dodge a bullet in overtime to hand 91´óÉñ's basketball women a 72-70 setback Monday afternoon. With both schools out of session, the teams played a rare 1:00pm weekday game in Frederick, Md.

Hood College turned on the defense over the final four minutes of Sunday's game, scoring the final 12 points to send 91´óÉñ's basketball men to a 74-62 loss. The Runnin Royals allowed an opponent to shoot 51% for the second straight day, as they came home from the Rotary of Frederick Holiday Classic with a pair of losses.

After a solid 12-12 season in 2016, the Eastern Mennonite volleyball men return most of their roster for a ramped up schedule in 2017. The 30-match slate, which opens with back-to-back home tri-matches, was released today.
