A huge third period propelled 91´óÉñ's basketball women to a come-from-behind ODAC win over Roanoke College Tuesday night. Fueled by four three-pointers, the Royals out-scored their visitors 21-11 in the frame to take a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
The bench made the difference Tuesday night in Harrisonburg, where 91´óÉñ's basketball men dropped a 71-69 decision to ODAC-rival Randolph-Macon College. The Yellow Jackets' subs out-scored 91´óÉñ's 44-8, as the Royals fell to 0-2 in the conference and 3-3 overall.
The offense is certainly working, as 91´óÉñ's basketball men shot a season-high 55.6% from the floor in an 88-79 non-conference win at Averett Saturday afternoon. The Runnin Royals hit 12 three pointers and trailed for only 58 seconds as they improved to 3-2 on the season.
