After finishing fourth in his heat, (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) had to wait it out to see if he would advance to the finals of the 400m hurdles at this weekend's NCAA Outdoor National Championships.
(Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) and (Gladys, Va./Rustburg) earned spots on the D3baseball.com All-South Region Teams, which were announced today. 91´óÉñ was the only ODAC school to have a player named to each the First Team and Second Team.
In his final race, senior  (Perkasie, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) not only lowered his PR in the 800m, he took down a 12-year old school record. He shaved 0.44 seconds of his previous best race, crossing in 1:52.75. Luke Yoder had owned the 91´óÉñ record of 1:52.92 since 2005. Denlinger's time moved him up to No. 43 in the nation. Sophomore  (Charlotte Court House, Va./Randolph Henry) broke his own 100m record with a time of :10.80 seconds. He finished first among collegiate athletes at the meet. Since running an :11.20 on the wet day of finals at the ODAC Championships on April 22, Abdus-Salaam has run three straight races better than Leroy Dutton's 91´óÉñ record of :10.94 from 1982.
91´óÉñ senior  (Gladys, Va./Rustburg) has been named to the District V Academic All-District Team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He is now eligible for CoSIDA's Academic All-America voting.
After serving two decades in prison for complicity to murder, Gregory Winship was in 2010. Just a few days ago, in Harrisonburg, he became the first to receive a master’s degree in restorative justice from 91´óÉñ. WMRA’s Christopher Clymer Kurtz reports.
